Interesting slant on things
AMERICA 'S HUNTERS ---

Pretty Amazing!

A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion:

There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin ..
Allow me to restate that number: 600,000!

Over the last several months, Wisconsin 's hunters became the eighth largest army in the world.

(That’s more men under arms than in Iran . More than France and Germany combined. )

These men, deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin, to hunt with firearms,
and NO ONE WAS KILLED.

That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan's 700,000 hunters, ALL OF WHOM HAVE RETURNED HOME SAFELY.

Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world.

And then add in the total number of hunters in the other 46 states.
It's millions more.

The point? _______________________________________

America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower!

Hunting... it's not just a way to fill the freezer.

It's a matter of national security.

***************************************
That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed.

Food for thought, when next we consider gun control.

Overall it's true, so if we disregard some assumptions that hunters
don't possess the same skills as soldiers, the question would still remain...
What army of 2 million would want to face 30 million, 40 million, or 50 million armed citizens???

For the sake of our freedom, don't ever allow gun control or confiscation of guns.

(IF YOU AGREE, AS I DO, PASS IT ON, I FEEL GOOD THAT I HAVE AN ARMY OF MILLIONS WHO WOULD PROTECT OUR LAND AND I SURE DON'T WANT THE GOVERNMENT TAKING CONTROL OF THE POSSESSION OF FIREARMS).

And don't forget the American Veterans and old farts who don't hunt anymore that still have their guns and are not afraid to use them!

Lord, thats a lot of hunters back east. I did not know the numbers were that high. Good to know. There is probably twice those numbers of old farts with guns that are not afraid to use them.

Here :!: Here now :!: I resemble that remark

speaking of old farts (of which I am one, but still in reasonably good shape) I was Christmas shopping this past week in one of our malls which has an armed forces store. working in the store which has all types of memorabilia was a group of older gentlemen, all veterans. I walked in and was immediately asked "are you a veteran" to which I replied "yes". Well, the stories started and the coffee was flowing. During one of my conversations the Name Obama was brought up. I never heard a store go so quiet so fast. The general gist was Obama had better never set foot in this store. Obama is not high on the veterans list of memorable people and my feeling was this holds true through all the different military branches.

Why didn't Japan invade the mainland United States in War 2?

Because there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass. Our enemies know this and want to use the U.N. and it's treaties and resolutions to weaken us for future foreign invasion. That is my sincere belief. Sure I'll give up my gun, bullets first. I will die in the process but I'm taking some of them with me if it comes to that. I just hope it never does.

Amen to that statement! FFL clearences on new gun purchases, just in the past December were over 900,000.

The Emperor Hirohito I 1945 when he signed the Peace Accord for the surrender of Japan commented that they could never invade North America because there "would be an American patriot with a rifle behind every bush and blade of grass".
