What would be the best way to set up a rifle with iron sights? I looking at going with a NECG front sight but the rear sight is where I'm having questions. I don't like blades and want to set up a peep sight on it with a set of QD rings but want a fully adjustable peep sight that is attached to the scope bases. Any input would be welcome. Kinda looking at Talleys as I've been really pleased with them.

I've used the NECG apertures that fit on a Weaver base as well as the ones that fit a Ruger base. Adjustments are a little crude, but they're rugged and they work.

The Weaver ones will hold zero when they're removed. Talley makes the pop-up peep sight and a friend has one and I believe Brockman makes one as well.

Pop up peeps are nice so are the necg. Skinner makes a few that will work with a weaver style mound.
