Can't answer on the 264 but I can tell you retumbo worked a miracle for me in a very fussy 300 wby ultralight. It wouldn't shoot 2 moa with anything and now shoots under 1moa with both the 200 ab and the 180 tsx.
What I can say is that it is ever so slightly slower than h1000. So if H1000 is viable for the 264 I would say you'll get a grain or two more retumbo to get the same speed.
I can also say that it seemed pretty temp insensitive in that fussy 300 wby.
Retumbo is my favorite powder for my 7mm Rem Mag and my 25-06. I also used it for my 300 Win Mag when I owned one. It is the most accurate powder I've found in the aforementioned cartridges.
Thank U-all for your reply. I bought a pound of Retumbo today and man it looks like #2 pencil lead chopped up. I am going to try it with 120 Nosler BT's and some Hornady 140 SST's and Spitzers as soon as it quits raining and the wind blowing 25 to 35 mph. I have a 25-06 with a 26 inch barrel that I might just have to give it a try in also.
Retumbo was a nice surprise when I first tried 150gr bullets in the 270WSM. Decent velocity just over 3000fps, low low ES, and very tiny groups that made me look like a good shot. I just didn't stick with that load once I discovered the 140gr AccuBond and Magpro.
I do know that Retumbo is a favorite amongst the 6.5WSM and 6.5SAUM shooters. It should be a dream in the .264WM!
The powder of choice for my 338 Lapua Improved. Only thing I don't like about it was it burn kind of dirty, and it takes some scrubbing to get it out of the barrel. Other than that, my 338 loves it.
I started using Reumbo in my 7mm RUM with 160 AB & Fed. Match Mag. primer. I couldn't get past 92 gr. without sticking cases & velocities & groups were ho hum :? Tried US869. Groups were better but velocities were just over 3300. Then along came H50BMG Velocity averages 3450 & groups are 1/2 inch or better, on a good day  I also tried Retumbo in my brother-in-laws 7mm Mag & it shoots pretty good with a 160 NP.
