Is the Rim Fire Now a Has Been??

Don't know Charlie... we, as a nation, didn't learn our collective lesson the first time around. I'm getting more and more pessimistic. Just speaking on ammo, though, I've bought about 2500 rounds in the last month and sold 1k of em to a friend of mine.... and did so with a fair amount of confidence that I'll be getting more soon. I'm not immediately worried, anyhow. I've got about 6k still in the ammo cabinet.

Three .22 LR groups at 50 yards fired from front rest and CZ 453 rifle with high velocity ammo. Kind of windy today and groups show it.

Looks pretty good for the first run Charlie. Plenty to pop squirrels in the noggin.

Popping squirrels in the noggin should be the easier job for this rifle at 20 yards, Scotty!

INPUT:

CCI is about to flood the market with Billions of 22 lr's very soon Sept to Oct.

That said my 223 with 35 gr hornet v-max bullet with a few grains of Red dot will double as a 22lr just fine. Ditto for a 22 Hornet.

Good point Fotis. Don't own a 223, but I wouldn't mind having a fast twist bolt gun to monkey with.

Got a 223 Savage 11F. Cheap and super accurate

Luckily I've been able to acquire over 4K rounds of .22 LR and about 1.5K .22 WMR before the prices skyrocketed. I'm still sitting pretty as far as plinking ammunition goes. However I'm running short on the ammunition my Wife and Daughter's matching Sig Sauer Mosquitos likes to eat.
