It took a lot longer to get this project done than I anticipated...2 years. But, my gunsmith did have legitimate reasons, so I can't be too upset; plus, he's only lacking blood to be family to me and didn't charge enough, again. So I overpaid, again, and will see the difference in a week or so.

Anyways, rifle looks great, stock isn't exactly what I was going for but the more I look at it, the more I like it. Weighs in at 12.5lbs as you see it. Won't get to see how it shoots until after hunting season, but I expect it'll shoot well. Built it really for our long range steel and dynamite shoots. Maybe a bit of deer, antelope, coyote and prairie rat hunting.

Looking forward to playing with it though.

It does appear attractive. Should be interesting witnessing how it performs for you.

Very nice buddy! Looks good from here. Can't wait to hear the specs.

That is a great looking rifle . I can't wait until we get a range report with photos I hope.

Blessings,
Dan

Thanks fella's. It is a 6.5x47 Jim.

Specs:
Rem700
Hart 1-8" barrel, 27", HBR Contour
McMillan A3 Adjust. cheek
Jewell Trigger@ 1.5lbs
Kelbly double rings
Nesika 20MOA bases
Leupold 6.5-20x40mm EFR

For a steel shooting rifle, I think it'll be just the ticket, blue and all. Have 130's and 140 VLD's, and 140 Hybrids. Really hoping to stumble upon some 129LRAB's too. Had my standard "whirley gig" finish on the barrel, it's on all my rifles he has built for me. I'll have to take a picture of it to show what it looks like to you folks.

I dig it!

Can't wait to hear what it does. All of your rifles are top notch.

Thanks Scotty!

Here's the Whirly gig finish and the twins.
