I just picked up 1000 CCI 200's and a can of H 4350 today since the last time there was panic buying in the U.S. it took us about 1 year up here before things got back to normal again.

I hear exactly what you are saying. I have picked up 1000 CCI200 primer a couple of cans of powder for each rifle and a box of partitions for each. I will not write what I have paid for it because I cry when I compare to the prices below the border.

Price notwithstanding, at least you can still find the components to buy. Small pistol and rifle primers are gone here.

Yes, but when they are gone here, Charlie, we are at the end of the supply chain. During the last drought following the first Obama disaster, it was a six-month wait once powder supplies dwindled, and it took more than a year before primers began appearing in any quantity at all. Even then, the supply was very spotty. Consequently, some powders are not to be had in Canada. Each time a manufacturer changes a powder, even the source of the powder, Canada Customs Agency requires them to resubmit the powder for testing with a $10,000 charge. Consequently, we in Canada cannot buy Ramshot Hunter or Accurate MagPro. Alliant RL33 will eventually reach our markets after all testing is complete. Of course, we cannot buy these items directly from the States due to Homeland Security stipulations. It does make life interesting for Canadian shooters. This perhaps gives a bit of understanding of the special challenges we face.

What I paid was awful too, we live at the end of the line over here and our local shop won't let us forget that :(

Well, when I picked up the DMPS yesterday, I took and better look and bought some replenish stock.
SR Fed. GM were not abundant on the shelf, but there at $34.96, up quite a bit form my last stocking. No suprise there. What hasn't gone up 30-50% or more in the recent past.
Powder, while plenty of it, it had gone up also with no suprise, but found the Alliant was 2-3 bucks more than Hodgdon, when it use to be Alliant was a buck or less ,,,, at least here anyhow.
Alliant up 4 bucks and Hodgdon up 1 buck at 26 and 23 bucks.
Bullets, I didn't even bother to look at. I pretty much use Noslers only and get them direct.

We are similar here, being right on the border and not having a lot of gun shops, we restock pretty slowly sometimes also. The Patriot Act was pushed through very hastily and has many unintended little facets that have created the present situation. Congress wants it this way and will not let thi legislation expire. I am awre and sorry that you guys in Canada are gratly affected. Not fair to your government or to Canadian's as our staunch ally.
