Since my Elk hunt last September, I have gotten out of Shape. Since my wife doesn't read this Forum, I can blame her for this. So starting today, Since I am on furlough, I am walking(not jogging) starting out at at least 1 mile per day, to get ready for the trip to Idaho with Greg this year. I think I should mention that this distance will be increased as time goes by, and I may miss a few days between now and the Idaho Elk season. But by getting an earlier start this year, I should be in decent shape by that time. Tater is going to start as well.
When and what do you all do to prepare? When times were better financially, I belonged to a gym and worked out on leg weights on a regular basis before season, starting in or about June. This year it may only be walking and swimming, and using ankle weights.
Did I say I got out of shape?
I meant I got FAT!
