JES rebore on 35

Hello guys

Any info or opinion on how many grooves should I go with a rebore 35 whelen. 3 , or 5

Going with a 1:14 twist

I went with a 3 groove 1-12 twist on my 358 win rebore. I would recomend the same. Accuracy has been great and the 1-12 will allow you do use any 35 cal bullet on the market.

JES did no tikka for my. Just used what he recommended. Been to the range with it once so far and has good potential.

Same here, 3 groove, 1-12 or 14 would work fine. They take a little smoothing but mine shoots excellent. I'd do another ins heartbeat.

I do recommend the 12 twist. Extra twist never hurts.

My 35 Whelen is a 3 groove 1-14 twist barrel and it is better than a .5 MOA but I am not :shock:!
It sure likes 225gr. ABs over top of RL-15.
