What is the difference? and is one better than the other? I just bought a new omega and want to get a recomendation on powder. My sporting good store which sells all 3 really was pushing the JSG saying it was by far the cleanest, best shooting powder on the market. Is this true?

No experience with JSG, currently using 777 with very good results.
My bullet is a Nosler 45 cal 260 gr PT. This bullet is excellent on WT deet from 20 feet to last years lasered 167 yds.
I bought a T/C Omega earlier this year, clean up is quick and easy.

I use 777 FFG and am very happy.

One thing I have done, and I swear by, is to use Militec-1 in the bore. It is a dry lube that impregnats itself to the metal via heat. When I first got my inline I cleaned it very well. I then applied Militec-1 to the bore and Militec-1 grease to the breech plug, then started shooting. Whenever I clean I repeat.

The other year I found myself moving during the late muzzleloader season. Some how I forgot to unload my muzzleloader (no primer of course) When I did move the load the next fall, all it took was a small cleaning  A friend did the same with 777 last year and has pitting just like you would expect.

TScottW99,

Good info on the Militec 1. I have used T/C bore butter and have had no worries.
