Here's my daughters new 7MM-08 Stevens Savage. If it rains hard enough this weekend that I cant go turkey hunting, I will try to build up a few rounds and sight it in for her.

Thanks again Pop!

Well if she don't I'm sure somebody in the house will
Kids are a wonderful excuse for numerous things.

It's an old Simmons I had on a 22-250. 6-14X40MM. I couldn't find a model # on it.

It's a great dad that thinks ahead and prepares for the inevitable. Good for you, Jeff.

Thankyou. they should both be well fortified and are in the long process of being well trained.

JDMAG- did you have trouble finding rings that would get that scope far enough back. I see they are offset. What di you go with? CL

Those are the Leupold style Weaver rings that Pop sent with the gun. And thay worked great.

JDMAG....

Hey now... mind tellin me your secret to pass that one by the Financial Officer of your dwelling ?

I can hear it all now if I told mine I was going out to invest in my kiddo's hunting future tomorrow and buy him say... oh.... ( WOW.. more choices )

I'm all ears...??

Good looking set-up ! Hopefully she can put it to use soon and show the two guys of the house up !!

If any body can show us guys up SHE WILL! she's a ball of fire.
As for the finance officer, lets just say she didn't vote for Obama, and believes every thing I say about him. And I don't even have to lie! 8)
It did help when I came home with a new silky terrier puppy for her a while back.

Ahhhh!

The old puppy trick 8)
Why didn't I think of that?
Real nice rifle and I'll bet it shoots good like most Savage/Stevens rifles do. Of course if you wear it out before she gets old enough to shoot it you'll have to buy her another one.

Good Idea!

I've been trying that... I have a great Black Lab.. named Remmi.... yes, short for Remington.... I really want another but blonde..... Absolutely set on naming him Nosler.....

Hmmmm... do I need to get rights / clearance from Nosler to do that ???

I need to come up with something besides a dog for my next rifle.I got 4 now. a GSP, a German Shepherd, a rat terrier, and the silky. I don't think a new stove would go over too good. gotta do some thinkin now. :?
Maybe next year I can get me another #1. only I want something BIG in diameter this time.

JDMAG,

I'd say so... you come home with a Dog one day, She's going to know the rifle is coming home the next....

My other half complains about the hair all the time so I bought her a Dyson Vacuum. 13yrs of Marriage and that's the closest I've ever come to a divorce

I used the puppy trick twice and a kitten once, and now I have a small zoo! I would have to advise that a blender is NOT a good idea.

With that being said the day I took her ring shopping, she (I) also got a new gun that same day no questions asked! Got me a hot wife and a nice gun all in the same day, could of been the best day in my life I think. Now I'm trying to figure out a new trick that one is pretty dang hard to one up.
