Those of you who read some of my posts know I used to be employed high up deep in this industry.

The FYI.....things are looking up.
Availability on products is getting better. Much better on certain items.

Prices are getting better with that.

Some of my ex colleagues were pleased to tell me things are trending in a great direction!
This might be the best shape the industry has been in over the last dozen years.

Here's to hoping it continues and whatever you need should be able obtain over the spring and summer.

Happy reloading this summer

I'm slowly stocking up. Watching for powders to go on sale and buying good amounts.
I was in decent shape pre pandemic but I'm now in even better shape.
Everything cost more now so it is what it is. At least I won't have to worry about shortages

I'll probably buy 64 pounds of RL17 if it shows up😁
Yeah...
I've always tried to get two loads for a weapon using two different powders because of the availability problems that can arise.

W760 and IMR4350 are the two I try to use as the alternate.
If things get bleak one can usually obtain 760 or 4350imr in a store, internet, or acquaintances/word of mouth

The wild card here is Alliant.

That war is eating up Alliant powder.
I don't care what PR bullshit Alliant spins...
I know for a fact they are allocating so much of their powder resources, materials and labor for powder used for the Ukraine war munitions.

I’ll stand pat for the time being. The only one I’d invest in would be RL23. It’s an amazingly consistent powder. In my opinion it’s head and shoulders above anything in its class. I still have 9lbs but it will be a sad day when it’s used up.

Reloder 26 and 33 would be nice, but I am not holding my breath
You will be able to get some this summer. I promise you that.

What I can't tell you is how much you can get. It won't be an endless supply until probably middle of 2026...
BUT.........
Alliant pretty much across the board will be available at one point or another this summer.

Unless something unforeseen happens good or bad .....

I can tell you it's not worth checking availability until middle June. I'd check periodically from that point on though.

If I find out anything further I will post

I’ve had good luck in a variety of cartridges with 19 22 25 and 26. Never tried 23 or 33. What do use the 23 in?

I use it in 7mm RM with 140gr E-Tips, and 270 Win with 130gr Partitions. I don’t pay too much attention to temp stability, but it’s very consistent for what I use it in. I’d like to try it in the 270 WSM I recently acquired but have started with other powders.
