Large Rifle Primers

I’ve only used them in the 30-30 so far. Yes they do require a little more effort to seat. They been reliable so far given a small sample.

Yes they do show some markings from being seated but not all the time or worse than the Fed 210.

Fed 210 in virgin Silver State brass has the same marks.

I use the same Hornady seater for years and seen the marks on hard to seat brass. CCI primers are the easiest seating primers I’ve used and they are also the only ones when deprimed the anvil falls out. The softest primers I have are Alcan LRM , they’ll show that on cases with multiple firings.
I believe as the Hornady seater gets more wear it’s seating on an angle causing that. It would help if the priming pin was square with the primer and case as it’s being seated.
