Sent off my 8x40 AO that had it's cross hair break on Tuesday Feb 11. Like in the Burris thread I'll report back what happens whether good or bad.

My only experience with Korth was about eighteen months ago. They reported that the tube on a 3.5-10X40 that had been dropped was a couple of hundredeths out of round. They did charge me $125 for repairs, but I couldn't really complain--the scope did drop after my sling broke, dropping the scope onto a rock. In any case, turn around was reasonable--a few weeks. I'll be interested in your experience, Gerry.

gerry I have dealt with them on 2 occasions and both times I had excellent results.
I had a answer and a new scope within 2 weeks of me mailing it to them.
I sure hope that you receive the same treatment as I did .

Blessings,
Dan

Hi gerry, just wondering if you got a update on that Leupold scope you sent to Korth's?

Blessings,
Dan

It's been a few years now ('98 I believe), but I slipped and fell, landing scope first on the wet rocks in a drainage while mountain goat hunting. Once off the mountain, fired a three shot group over a steady rest at a rock face and got a 1" group. A couple of weeks later, before heading back out for a hunt, rechecked the scope's zero at the range and found it out. Took the scope off of that Rem 700 in 338 Win Mag, mailed it to the repair facility via regular mail. Had the scope mailed back, repaired and mounted on the same rifle in 16 days. At no charge to me, except for the initial postage. That used Vari-X III 3.5-10x40 is still on that 338 today. Have heard the same type of service received from several others since then.

Nothing yet, they have had it about a week so it shouldn't be too much longer.

My scope was delivered today all nicely fixed, with the invoice showing no money owing. Along with replacing the reticle it looks like they made sure everything else is in proper working order. The scope originally had a fine duplex but I asked them to put in a standard duplex instead which they did, now it should be better in low light situations. Looking at the scope everything looks flawless and looks brand new. This is going to go on my 260 Rem I have two loads to try this fall the 130 gr AccuBond and 140 gr Ballistic Tip both using H 4350 and quite accurate. I'll need to figure out how to work the turret and do some long range shooting with it.

Over all Korth's customer service is excellent and that is a reason I will continue to use Leupold scopes.

Thanks for the report gerry :). I know that they have always treated me great, glad that the customer service has not changed. In this day & age it is nice to see  !
As you know I am a Leupold man !
Blessings,
Dan

Yes Dan they are hard to beat, it does add some peace of mind when making a purchase when they support you like that. It is even better for us since we don't have to send anything over the border.
