I recently came across the leupold S1 turret that replaces the standard cap and allows you to fail correction like a target/tactical turret.
It seemed like a very good addition to a standard hunting scope to have the ability to dial in elevation without permanently altering the scope or even having to send it back to leupold. It comes both with zero stop or without. The zero stop model limits you to 14 MOA of adjustment.
You have to get them thru the custom shop but at $50 I think it's a pretty good value. I'm really not sure why leupold hasn't been marketing these harder.
I ordered one in MOA for my VXIII 3.5-10x50 that's on my 300 RUM. I'll give it a review after I receive it.
Here are some pictures of the turret I poached off the net.
Anybody else on here have any experience with these turrets?
