I'm trying to find some load data on using the 77 gr. Nosler in a 223 or 5.56. I have several Ar-15's , all with a 1 in 9 rate of twist. I know that Black Hills made some using the 77 gr Nosler with a cannelure on the bullet as well. That ammunition is impossible to find on the market, so I thought I'd make some myself as I reload thousands of round per year. I can always get a cannelure tool to "roll my own" But first, I need load data and then I'll have to order the bullets on line due to the fact that no one locally seems to stock the 77 gr .224 bullets!

And of course, will all of this work in a 1 in 9 rate of twist barrel? I know I'll be pushing the limits. I have shot 75gr. with good results in my 20" Ar's but have just built a 16" as well.

Thanks for the help!

We have some data on our web page in the ballistics room. You will be on the edge of stabalization.
