Hey folks this is my first post here on your forum. I have a new Savage LRPV in 22-250 with the 1-9 twist tube and a new box 60 gr BT's that I can't wait to load up but am having trouble locating any data. I will be using 210/210M primers and Varget. Any info someone has would be appreciated, including any seating distance from the lands that has been successful.

Or................is the 60gr Partition data close enough?

Reviving an old one here, finally got around to breaking in the new gun and started load development. Thought some may be interested in the information.

60 gr. BT - Coated w/WS2 - .010 off lands - 210M's - Varget

32.8 gr. - 3390 fps - Group: .9"
33.0 gr. - 3416 fps - Group: .85"
33.2 gr. - 3436 fps - Group: .85"
33.4 gr. - 3397 fps - Group: .35"
33.6 gr. - 3442 fps - Group: .95"
33.8 gr. - 3456 fps - Group: .90"
34.0 gr. - 3490 fps - Group: .65"
34.2 gr. - 3497 fps - Group: .65"
34.4 gr. - 3526 fps - Group: .70"
34.6 gr. - 3521 fps - Group: .70"

never did reach a point where any signs of pressure showed up, please remember, these were worked up in MY GUN and the bullets were coated w/ WS2 so please work up slowly in your gun.

34 - 34.6 grs. the velocities became inconsistent with the previous jumps, my guess is that the barrell finally got a good coat of WS2 in it at about that point. I (we) need to keep that in mind, need to make sure the barrel gets a good pre-treatment to avoid pressure issues.

Thanks Doug, I appreciate the report. I was considering working up a load with the 60 parts for my 22-250 sometime as well. Looks like you found the max for that bullet/powder/barrel combination.
