Has anybody got a few receipes they are willing to share for a .270 weatherby mag? I like to shoot 140 and 150 grain bullets. I did see that there was some old postings but I was hoping there would be some new loads out there that people are willing to share.

Thanks Aaron

If you're shooting 150's, I can give you at least one (so far) that works great in my rifle. Try Accurate 8700 powder, and follow the loading guidelines on accuratepowder.com. I loaded up some Speer 150gr Spitzlers for break in purposes at 82gr of AA8700, and the resulting group was .249", which is pretty darn good for me! You can load up pretty easily to 88gr (the max charge, and a compressed load) and you won't have pressure issues as the case literally won't hold enough powder to get to max pressure. I should have some IMR7828ssc feedback for you if I can ever get to the range.

RL 25 start at 68 gr and work up with either weight!

I have had really good luck with the 140gr TSX from my 270wby using RL22 and Fed215M primers.
I get 3300fps and sub MOA groups from a MkV Ultralight.

Thanks for your help. I am curious to see how the IMR7828ssc works for you. I have about five pound that my 30-378 eats up. Any other info is much appreciated.

Thanks Aaron

I have been loading 140 grainers with 71 grains of reloader 22.The velocity is in the 3300 fps range. Accuracy is good. The IMR 7828 gave me 3400 fps with the 140's, and accuracy was acceptable.

My go to load with 7828 was 74-75 gr with the 130 Partitions ---pending on rifle.
