Went hunting on Sunday. Got a piggy about 80 lbs. Used my little Model 7 in 7mm-08. Friend need one for a party, and is going to imu it. Shooting 140 BST, with 44.4 grains of imr 4350. Got really really lucky and shot it from 155 yards in the head so not to damage the meat. Well piggy had a hard head. Hit him on the left side, by the ear, bullet traveled downward, broke his right front leg about midway and stopped just under the skin. So much for not damaging the meat. The bullet was recovered and I was surprised that it weighed 99 grains. Love those Nosler bullets. Front measured .520 at its widest point. Now if I can figure out how to download the pics from my phone camera I can post it.
Antelope_Sniper, used the Redhead ear enhancer plugs, worked great.

Picture of the bullet came out junk. Used a 140 grain BST. Weighted 99 grains and the width was almost twice.

Nice pig, are you going to have a Hawaiian lauha?

yep :) ,yep :) ,yep :) Imuing the pig is hard work, but the pig is so moist and tender and just falls off the bone. It cooks in the ground for about 8 hours or more depending on the size of the pig. Its all worth it in the end.
