Hi guys questions for you regarding making a AI. I want to make sure that a old guy like me understands. I was advised that you load using 280 dies and then they fire form to a chambered AI. Is this correct?
If not please explain details to me simple as you can as I have to explain it to a newbie.

Thank you your help as usual

Blessings,
Dan

You don't have to buy dies just for a .280 just to make fire form loads. You could do it all with .280AI dies but either way works.

Make sure the dies match the reamer used to cut the chamber. Before the AI was a SAAMI approved chambering, some dies/reamers are cut differently from that currently approved.Rick.

Good point. I remember reading a post about a fellow who was having trouble getting his .280 AI dies and his new .280 AI Nosler rifle to work well together. Might have been on another forum though.

I suspect the guys at Nosler could tell a shooter which dies work well with the chambers of their rifles.

Guy
