My gun guy recently put a "happy trigger" in my 95. While testing the trigger he noted that the forearm was also binding, so he relieved that while he had the rifle. He then took it out for range testing. Here are a couple of the groups.

This rifle has a 1.5 X 5 Varix IV with a Leupold one piece mount and medium rings. Not bad for a lever rifle, and a 75 year old blind guy shooting.

That would be great for a bolt action but even better for a lever gun, great loads and shootng.

Not bad at all! I'd say you may have a shooter on your hands. When I turn in groups like that, the comment is normally, "Wow! You can't even see the powder burns!" Smart alecs.

Those big bore Marlins can surprise a lot of people with how well they shoot.

Are you "happy" with the new trigger?

Guy

I was always impressed with how my stainless guide gun used to shoot also. Those Wild West happy triggers are a great. I have put them in several marlin lever guns. In my 39a it reduced trigger pull from 6+ to 2 pounds 6 ounces. Makes a world of difference.

I always had excellent luck with starline brass, h322 and 405gr bulk remington bullets

Great shooting load right there. Looks like it is ready to talk some elk in the timber!

Well I can't credit for these, but my smith sure was proud of them. But the rifle will shoot, there is no doubt.
