Well, I made the trek back to the front range this previous weekend for a best friends wedding. I was honored to be a part of it, it was my college friends wedding and I'd not seen him in about a year, so a great time to catch up with him and his beautiful bride.
Anyways, I got there a day before he did so I went up north to check out Mile High's store. I was very impressed! Smaller than I thought it would be but great selection of powder, brass, primers, bullets, optics, suppressors, rifles, handguns, sights, stocks/chassis'.... etc. and all top notch (Accuracy International, Anschutzes, Nightforce, Lapua, Norma, S&B, Berger, Nosler, Sierra, FN, Sig, KAC, Surefire, Zeiss etc)! Best selection of bullets, powder, and brass I have seen in over a year; hands down! I kind of expected to find prices a little higher than other places but was surprised to find prices right on par with everyone else, and even a tad lower in some circumstances. I got 100 pieces of Lapua 6mmBR Norma brass for $80 dollars, along with 100 215 Bergers for $45 (I felt like a thief on those), which included tax, plus, I didn't have to pay shipping. The guys there were not your typical Cabela's "experts" but were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! I didn't realize I had competed with many of them until I saw them in the store, I've lost a few matches to them as well.
Kind of a side note, being form Palisade, growing up and living in an orchard, I made a deal with the owner to bring him some fresh peaches in exchange for credit at the store! I kind of found it nice to see that there are still some places where trading goods is as good as cash; I usually have more peaches, apricots and cherries than I know what to do with so I give them away anyways.
Anyways, I just wanted to pass along my experience and let you folks know that they are Grade A in my book! I will be doing more business with them for sure.
Hope this may be helpful to some.
