Here are the results from my first set of Milk Jug Tests. Dad and I probably killed 60 milk jugs, and here's what we were able to catch:
Yes, it is harder then it looks.
From left to right:
9mm 127gr winchester sxt: caught 4th jug, retained weight 98% :grin:
44 mag: 240gr Nosler HP: caught 6th jug retain weight 75%
22 long rifle, 36gr winchester exper hp" caught 4th jug, retained weight 74%
.223 rem, 52gr Sierra HP, blew jugs everywhere, one fragement found, 26% of original weight
.223 rem, 55gr nosler SB. blew jugs everywhere, found one base weighing 9.9 grains, or 18% of original weight.
.223 rem: 60gr Nosler Partition, caught in :shock: 9th JUG :shock: 72.5% wight retention.
7.62x39: 122gr wolf "expanding" :? HP Caught in 4th Jug, entered 3rd and 4th jugs sideways. The bullet flattened out to .190x.385 inches, and retained wight was only 100.9gr or 83%....go figure that one? :?
We also shot 130NBT out of a .270 Win, it exited the 6th jug, and we never caught it.
.41 Mag with 210 grain Cast King, exited the 9th Jug, never caught it.
.44 1858 Remington with 30 grains of black. Caught in 4th Jug, could of shot the bullet again.
