Monarch brass

Do any of y'all that reload a lot of 9mm use Monarch brass. I have shot a lot of it but have not been reloading 9mm and not keeping the brass. I've been considering getting a set of 9mm dies for my Dillon, not to save money, but to keep myself occupied. I have a bunch of Monarch ammo that will be rendered into once fired brass in the next few months. Is it worth picking up.

To be honest Bruce I've never heard of Monarch brass unless it's made by Federal who made Monarch shot gun shells.
I would google it to see where it's manufactured.
Then on the other side I save all brass cases to take to the junk yard and sell for scrap once it exceeds its usefulness.

Monarch is the store brand ammo for Academy Sports. It shoots and it's cheap.

You can try it and see if it works ok. At the worst it will keep you occupied for awhile till other brass comes along.

What's the markings on the case head besides 9MM?

It may burn up your excess time but it sure isn't worth the time or effort. 9mm bulk ammo is so cheap that I can't load it for the same price. I can just barely save a buck on 40 S&W reloads.

Yeah that is a point, the 115 gr fmj is 24 cents a round. Thec124gr Nato is 20 cents.

Monarch is manufactured in Brazil (mon headstamp), some is made by Prvi (PPU headstamp) and Monarch in Turkey (trk headstamp). Those are just the ones I know about. I guess I'll pick some up next time out, deprime them and see how they clean up.
