I am mainly asking about loading the 410 3" 11/16oz load, But if anyone is using the MP-300 in pistols how clean is it?

I bought the Alliant 410 with their web sites listing of 13.5grs I picked up a bushing to load it. My new MEC and Lyman manual where so far off I stopped and have a call out to Alliant to veriffy its right.

Next both MP-300 and 410 list 1200fps but MP-300 psi is 9500 and 410 1250. Any thoughts on which to choose just on pressure? 410 is supposed to be the cleanest powder for the 410 there is.

Hands down 300MP. 410 really eats up hulls. H110 or W296 is much better than 410 if you can't find 300 MP.

Thanks I look for 300-MP and which bushing to use for it. I also am just learning that maybe I should use 2 1/2" for the best pattern and the big one velocity 1250-1300 fps is doable with 1/2oz loads and 300-MP.

Thought the extra shot in an 11/16oz (3/16oz) would be better but sounds like it may be a dettrament resualting in poor patterns due to the long shot colum / high presure and yet with less velocity.

I have size master 3" but it came with 2 1/2" crimper and can be adjusted.
