Now that the hornady Leverevolution bullets are available for handloading (just bought 100 for my 356 Winnie--- 200 gr) it certainly opens new horizons for the 30-30. It is now a legit 300 yard gun........

And I have killed goats and deer at half that distance here.......

It is getting a 1.5x4.5 power scope on QR rings/base.
