Thanks to the generosity of Fotis I got her all together.
Fotis posted a 3-9X40 Bushnell Trophy for sale along with other scopes he wanted to send to a new home and I happen to notice something familiar about the Bushnell he was selling so I made a joking comment and Then I get a pm after I didn't reply to his next post because I was off line. When I saw the PM he asked if I could use the scope. I said yes what do you want for it, he said nada, zip nothing I had done the same for him and he was returning the favor. Today I get a package in the mail and yep it was the scope.
Thanks Fotis you are first class in my book and anytime I can return the favor all you need is to ask.
It's things like this that makes this the best Forum on the internet. First class people all the way.

Very nice looking rifle and you are correct, a good group of people as well.
One day I hope to get to meet some of them. Scotty will probably be the first since he lives about a 2hr drive from me. If DrMike would be in the Niagara falls area in July I could meet up with him and I'll one day get to Wy to see Fotis. All three of these Guys have gone out of their way to help me and deserve all the credit they are due. Plus there have been others I can name, Heck I could go on all nite with this .

Very nice rifle! Looks great all set up. That's a beautiful set up. Can't wait to see what it does on the range for you. I'm glad to help but I'm barely passing on a 1/60th of what you all have done for me.

Rodger it doesn't really get better than that, it's a classic in every sense of the word. With 200 gr Accubonds and IMR 8208 it will crush deer sized game (and bigger too) The boys are happy with RL 15 with all bullet weights, Varget did well for me in the past too. I hope you get out at shoot the thing soon :) hope you heal up quickly.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm very happy with it.

gerry it will be Sept. before I know if the bone graff was successful, but the surgeon was very pleased with the way things are healing.
As soon as I can get it sighted in I'll post a range report.

Roger,

Nice looking rig. She should do well.

Rodger you hit the nail right on the head ! People on this forum are top notch 8)!
The person that gave me the spotting scope never stated that I could not give his name out so I want everyone to know that he is first class as well!! Thank you Elkman (Bill).
I just was on a Saskatchewan site for selling rifles and there was a spot where people talked abut their favourite rifles and I posted about my RMR 280AI. People started to comment that this was not a chat site and were wondering why the admin people did nothing about chatting. I apologized and stated if I had offended anyone I would leave the site. Well today is the last time I am going to enter it and it is off my FB account.
People here are like FAMILY
PS. Rodger that is a dandy looking 35 Whelen I know that you are going to enjoy becoming part of the Whelen Dynasty !

Blessings,
Dan

Good going Roger, now you are ready to go hunting with your .35 Whelen. Nice looking rifle and I expect it will shoot as well as it looks?

Your right Dan, places like that can find other members. The folks on here are as good as they get. That Elkman is a great fella and a helluva good cook too! Ha. We've shared some good time in the mountains and hopefully my boy gets to hunt with him this Fall as well.

Rodger, that Whelen is a great score. You've got the rifle to really pound those poor old MD WTs now!

Rodger ,that Whelen sure does look good. I am glad it went to someone that i know will take care of it, the rifle won't let you down as long as you do your part. Maybe one day we can go go out shooting together. Lee
