My Custom .300 Win. Mag

This is a beautiful setup. The article was very informative, great info. Accuracy is outstanding. Thanks for posting.

SJB358 and Fotis,

What kind of jug test are you fella's referring to? Are you lining them up and shooting them and looking for penetration and destruction or what? Also, at what yardages? I've been saving milk and juice jugs for long range cold bore practice and would be more than happy to perform a jug test and post results with the 215 Berger Hybrid. I just need to know how you'd like it set up and at what range you'd like to perform it at. I can do it from point blank to over a thousand yards (That might take me a two or three shots though, and lord knows I don't want to be wasting bullets  haha) I'm finishing up some mechanical engineering course work so I enjoy doing test/experiments and this is a good excuse to burn some powder and learn a thing or two.

Best regards.

We usually line the jugs up in a row and fire the bullets into them from 20-300 yards. I would like to see what happens up close right off the muzzle with the 215's. Same for them at 300 or better. Haven't really seen many of them shot into jugs so it would be cool for alot of us..

Something like this would be cool

A few guys asked to see a jug test of the 215 grain Berger Hybrid Bullet, so, I did one. This was done with my custom .300 Win. Mag. at 450 yards. The link to the video of the test is below. If you have questions please post them here.

And yes, I did ruin a camera making this. I set the close camera 8-10 feet away from the jugs and severely underestimated the hydrostatic shock that would be transferred to the jugs.

That is cool. I would love to see what they do up close say under 50 yards. I know they are a LRH bullet but in my neck of the woods I have killed elk at 15 yards and 778 yards. No time to change cartridges.

300, I am looking forward to your close up test with the 215.

Great video! Thanks for putting it up.

You guys never cease to amaze me 8)
Very interesting thank you for all the information
By the way great looking rifle.

Blessings,
Dan
