Just received my 7mm neck sizer, it is a redding and is the same as my full length and seater, the instruction were unclear in my mind as to how to set it up. Per Nosler it states to allow 1/8 between top stroke and bottom of sizer, per redding you set it up just like a full length with the top stroke touching the sizer. Any suggestions, advise from the pros. Hopefully this will let me get more use out of the brass. Thanks Steve

I set my Redding bushing neck sizers to make firm contact with the shell holder.

I have not used a Redding non-bushing die.

I try to set up as Joel said but the important thing is not to size past the shoulder joint on the case..

I would follow the Redding instructions.

Mark the neck with a dry lube or sharpie and see where the sizing stops. Size to the neck shoulder junction. Rick.

I use the Type S neck dies and when the die just touches the shell holder when its top dead center as per instructions, it stops about .030-.050" from the shoulder.

My Redding BR nk. size dies can be set to size down to the shoulder point. But the rifle likes the die to be set about 0.020-0.030" short of the shoulder. As the Savage bolt is closed, I can feel the slightest pressure at the bottom of the bolt down-stroke. Groups tend to stay in the 1/2" size @ 200 yds. Great 22/250 p'dog rifle 8) !
