Scratch H4831, it's too slow for 35 Remi., especially on that 16 inch tube of yours. Used the 4895 or the 4198. I preferred the former since that's what I used on my TC. The 200 grainer from Speer or Hornady is ideal weight for this caliber. Top it off with 38 grains of IMR 4895 and your good to go. Try experimenting with 250 grainer. No one recommend that weight for the TC. They said the TC doesn't have the velocity to make the bullet expand. I don't care. I've been working with this bullet weight on my TC for a while, and I really like what I see so far. I haven't shot an animal with it yet but if I do , I'll post it here. At 200 yards, this bullet has more knockdown power than my 300 Win Mag loaded with 180 grain bullet. We have a 200 yard heavy metal gong at our club range that hardly move when shot with my 300 loaded with 180 grain bullet, but when shot with my TC, loaded with 250 Hornady SP bullet, this thing swings like a pendulum.

My pet load for the Marlin 336 is 200gr CoreLokt RN is 40grs of H4895, rem brass, and fed 210m primers. It clocks at 2180fps and is awsome for on game performance.

Try H322 or IMR3031 for the 150gr bullets you need a faster powder for them than H4895 and as already mentioned the 4831 no way its too slow. I have a 18.5" barrel and tried the 180gr speers but my H4895 was to slow if I tried again I use the H322 or IMR3031 and the 3031 will work for 200gr loads also.

For deer I would use the 200gr Rems not the 150grs but thats just me.
