I know a fellow with a Nevada ranch. Mule deer inhabit it. Hasn't been hunted in years, except for coyotes and sage rat shooting. A few quail hunts too. Nobody has even shot at the mule deer in at least five years, if not longer. He's only interested in the quail. Shoots the coyotes to help the quail.

Chances of drawing a non-resident tag though are slim, really slim.
