New 264 Win Mag build

It's been several years since I had a 264wm. A few months ago I ran into a great deal on a bunch of NEW primed Nosler 264wm brass...well I just couldn't help myself!

PacNor 26" 8 twist barrel, long throated for 140 gr bullets.

Saturday I just threw a bunch of Retumbo in the cases and sighted in the Veracity 4-20 scope. I'm pretty happy. Shot these from a hunting bag at 200 yards.

So I just loaded 50 at 70.3gr and I'm heading to TN for hunting Wednesday to fill the rest of the freezer

Your probably right but the wind was 15 -20 mph from my 8 o'clock that day.
I try to watch my wind flag but I only had one.

Those are some great looking groups, and a distinctive looking rifle. Is that a factory Savage synthetic stock? Is so what model? I have a 14 in the safe I never shoot - I think just cause its ugly-should probably remedy that. Nice looking rifle- Good luck hunting! CL

It's a Factory Accufit stock but I did my own paint job. Krylon with Alumahyde clear.

Nice up grade- I have almost that exact color of Rustoleum in the garage. Bought it with that intent and just never had the nerve. Maybe come spring.... again, good luck! CL

That is a long barrel you are going to hammer the deer for sure 3172 FPS and 140gr bullet.
Nice shooting and looking forward to seeing the deer you harvest.

Got her broken in last light. Dispatched a 1 1/2 year old doe at 250 yards.
These 140vld are no joke. Nice exit. She took exactly zero steps straight down.
