New carry pistol...big change

I put the M&P 2.0 9mm back on today, first time in a few weeks... after handling the Bodyguard 380 for all that time the 2.0 feels like a Desert Eagle in my hand

I love this thing!

No idea of the exact round count, but plenty enough to say it's a solid little pistol built to shoot, regardless of any growing pains it had when first introduced.

This ain't a gimmick gun...

Estimated round count is somewhere between 500 and 1000, it has fired every time the trigger has been pulled... there is some "wear" on the frame rails, not really wear just the finish wore off.

When it was new racking the slide had a gritty feel to it, not anymore... pretty smooth now, not custom 1911 smooth, but as smooth as any polymer pistol I ever handled.

No wear to speak of on the slide.... it's been pocket carried every day since I got it (a few months now) in a Sticky Holster.

No out of the ordinary wear on the barrel either... some slight marks where it contacts the slide, same as any other pistol that gets shot much.

As pocket pistols go...I give it a solid 9 out of 10, tritium sights would make it a 10....offered in 32 acp would make it a 12.

carry a Ruger LCP at all times, got a 1911 in my truck at all times, a 7.5" AR handy 90% of the time.

I like the bodyguard, but I do not own one. I find the controls are just too small for me to manipulate effectively with my meat hooks. When I carry pocket, I prefer a DAO revolver, or one with a shrouded hammer. Yes, I like a full size whenever possible, but sometimes you just can't carry one and maintain concealment.

Given the amount of crud that suddenly finds it’s way to your firearm when you decide to pocket or ankle carry I’d have to recommend a revolver like a S&W 442/642.

Glad you’re mending up. My heart attack led me back to where I grew up and a great job in my home town. I’ve resigned myself to not leaving. I tried for years to leave, and did, but I’ve accepted that this is where I’m supposed to be.

I favor my 442 and carry it in the pocket or on the ankle even if I’m carrying something bigger.
