Hello everyone, I'm new here, but have visited everyday for about the past year. I'm a hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman from Indiana. I love archery, but after shoulder issues I have been using a crossbow for some time. I've been a reloader for several years. I've built a few 35 remington bolt actions off of Savage 10's with Shilen barrels that have been absolutely awesome out to 200 yards on deer. I have shot it farther, but no shots on game farther. Right now, I'm putting together a 6mm arc Encore with a 26"barrel for longer range, without recoil. Hopefully be up and running in a month. My question; could someone run a quickload for that with the 95 lrx at 2.325 c.o.a.l., at 62000 psi? I would appreciate any and all info. I hope to learn and share more as time goes on.
Thanks, Jamie

Thank you so much, sir. We've not been able to use rifles for that long in Indiana, to deer hunt with, and that's my main goal. Now, I'm still trying to learn distance target shooting, which I've never had to do, but I want to start with what I have on hand and eventually build from that. You contribution to my goal is greatly appreciated

I believe that you’re going to like it here!
Lots of great information, and not any of the BS that some other places get.
I get the hometown feeling when visiting this site, and everyone is so willing to help.
Plus, the experience that the members here have and the experiences that they share is second to none.

Welcome Jaime!

Welcome. Be interested in you sharing your information and pictures of those 35rem you built.
Kind of long winded on this, but here goes. Mine is a Stevens 200 that started lif as a 22-250, blind magazine. I was doing water jet work at the time and made my own barrel nut wrench and barrel vise. Got a Shilen barrel with 1-14 twist and throat cut to accept 200 ftx at 2.62" c.o.a.l. and .010 off the lands. I didn't want my experiment ammo to end up in a lever or auto loader. I faced action, barrel nut and ground recoil lug to make all mating surfaces to within .0005". I set the headspace a little snug because of the small shoulder. Put this in a hogue full aluminum block stock and topped it with a Minox 3-15. I didn't have to change bolt head or change magazine at all. Feed and function has been 100%. I researched +p data from Layne Simpson and went from there. It takes a longer bullet, but accuracy is stellar. 200 ftx, 220 speer, 180 ttsx, 180 tsx fn is what the gun really likes. The 200ftx will print 1/2" all day everyday. I've been using it for about 12 years now. Velocity is incredible for this in a bolt action set up this way, for this cartridge. I thought I was way over pressure, so I reloaded the same case 8 times in a row one day, before I had case failure. I don't believe it is a brass issue as much of a firearm design issue with pressure.
The others have been a savage axis in a boyds stock and 2 savage 110's. All have been unbelievable in reliability and knocking down deer.
