I didn't see an introduction section so I guess I'll post this here. My name is steve. I'm 23 and I am addicted to reloading! I'm a veteran of Iraq and just trying to finish up college. I'm also a bit of an amateur gunsmith. I have built up two 1911's, did a nice build up of a ruger m77 in 22-250, as well as many pillar bedding and trigger jobs on various guns. I have read over this forum a lot and look forward to learning more about reloading and precision shooting from you guys. I currently reload for: 22-250, 280, 257 roberts, 30-06, 7mm-08, 9mm, 38 special, 45 auto, and 357 mag.

Steve,

Good to have you aboard. You are loading for a fine stable of cartridges. Actually, it might not be a bad idea to have a forum to introduce ourselves. Some have opened threads that permitted introduction on several occasions. I'm certain it will have again.

Hey buddy! Welcome aboard! This is a great place if you are a reloading nut like the rest of us! Looks like you have a full safe of great rifles. Anyhow, look forward to hearing more from you. This place is loaded with good intel for rifles/reloading/hunting! Scotty

Steve - welcome. There is plenty of great reading here, and great folks to answer any questions. In addition, let me say thank you for your service. You will find several other veterans here as well.

I take it you are also a Harley fan?

Steve,

Welcome to the site. You will find it to be a major source of good, honest information. The folks here have hundreds of years of collective experience which like myself, you will certainly appreciate.

Lest I forget, "Thank you for your service to our country".

I am also an old vet that "didn't" jump out of airplanes. Welcome here and I also want to thank you for your service. You will like it here and as Dave pointed out "many" hundreds of years experience here. We all don't always agree but there is a wealth of information here regarding guns, reloading and hunting. I think there are a "lot" of very serious and successful deer hunters right here on the forum. Elk are hunted here to but I think they are a slightly smaller group. We are all looking forward to hearing of your experiences and your take on issues.

Steve,
Welcome aboard!
Lots of good folks here and lots of good info.Great place to ask questions because somebody on this board has either already tried it or had the same problem you are trying to figure out!

You'll be suprised at the number of 280 fans on this board.(I'm one of them  )

Dad was in the 101st back in the late 50s.He always told me only three things fall from the sky;birdpoop, fools and fouled up airplanes.
I was a UH-1H Huey crewchief in the 4th ID from 81-84

Thanks for your service brother!

Howard

Steve,
Thanks for your service. If they'd just let some of us in the over 60 crowd bring our gear and loading benches, we'd jump in too!!

Seriously, glad to have you aboard. This is the most decent forum on the handloading web - not only the knowledge and experience, but also the tone of responses and lack of strife. I like your caliber selection, but have to warn you these guys will get the 35 caliber ear worm planted, and you might get influenced  At least they almost have me convinced, and I never even posted about an interest in the 35's.

It is right there with the 35 Whelen! Just kidding, I like them all! As EE2 said though, a good 35 cal really rounds out of the safe! Scotty
