Hi everyone!
I'm a new member but I've been here getting a reloading education for a few years. My Dad has been reloading for 25 years and about 3 years ago I joined him and became addicted. Its a new way to spend time with him and we have more in common now. He is my inspiration but this site and my trusty Nosler manuals are formal education. I have learned so much from it's members . You guys have taught me and inspired me to be the best I can be when it comes to reloading. Thanks for giving me a obsessive compulsive disorder . I can't be satisfied with with groups under 3/4 and I have nightmares about a fliers in 3 shot groups. I have issues with family and friends who shoot factory ammo and a tenth of an inch drop at 200 yrs is something that I feel I need to correct. But I LOVE IT!!!!
I read hunting forums all of the time and I can say that you guys are a first class act! Everyone is friendly and so willing to help. I appreciate what you do for new reloaders and having Nosler staff on board makes it too good to be true. I am now reloading 300WSM 30/06 25/06 243 and 270 calibers and I only use Nosler bullets .
Thanks again

Welcome to the forum, glad you decided to join in on the fun.
I'm with ya, I have been addicted to reloading for 34 years now and have shot Nosler bullets exclusively for over 25 years now.

You have a good support system here, let us know if you need any assistance.

Welcome aboard Doug.
We are here for the fun and this is the closest I've seen on the internet to the Saturday morning coffee clutch my dad used to belong to. Good friends and a lot of inspired discussion. (Sometimes not so inspired, but always knowlegable and opinionated). I've learned a lot here and I've been loading for almost 50 years now.

Ah, yes, as Pat McManus says (in another context), "Reloading is a fine and pleasant misery." Welcome aboard, Doug. Glad to have you here. You're loading for some fine, classic (and classy) calibres. What do you enjoy hunting? Any favourite loads you want to share?

I do have a few favorite loads. My stepson is 8 and he is shooting a NEF 243. I tried several bullet weights and powders all shootig splattered groups. Then I found it! 90 gn NBT with 33 grns of IMR 4064. He killed his fist deer with it at the end of last season. He got lucky by breaking both back legs but its in the freezer. I solved the problem with an eye patch and a lot of shooting. He is right handed and left eye dominant. My 300WSM load is 60.5 IMR 4064 and 150gn AB and CCI 250. 25/06 is 53.5 R-22 110 AB and CCI 200 . I'm still looking to improve my 300WSM accuracy by trying IMR 4831 and maybe some 165 ABs. I will be posting more to clear up a few questions that have.

That is great that your stepson was able to take a deer. I'm sure he was on a high.

For my 300 WSM, I've certainly had good success with 165 ABs and 67.5 grains of IMR4831. I also had some fine accuracy with 64 grains of H380 and 165 grain ABs.

Welcome aboard. I have a son who is right handed but left-eyed, too. I let him try shooting both ways, and he shoots far better left handed. You might try that with your boy, too. Made all the difference in the world.

Welcome to the forum! I count on this forum for a lot and you will find it indispensable when you have a problem load or need to work out a shooting problem with your step son. I help my son get over a flinch with the help of the folks here and he and I are eternally grateful. he now shoots my old 300 winny and has no problems even at 13!
congratulations on joining a fine group! :)
