Cabelas had a CZ 550 Medium American on sale near me I decided to go get a look at it. It was in nice shape had one scratch on stock but steel looks good no scratches on steel or receiver looked pretty clean did not looked like it was shot much or hunted with much by how well the stock looks. I like CZ rifles especially 550s they are the old world Mauser actions that are not made anymore unless you want to spend crazy money.
I will order a rifle scope rail for it so I can swap scopes more easily than scope rings which are custom for a CZ and no rings with this rifle.

Not the best pic but for a rifle likely made late 90s or early 2000s it is almost new looking. I also like the humpback stocks on CZs some people don't like the look to me it what makes them easy to spot and cheek weld feels good for me I think this stock works well for taller people than some other stock designs. So this is my 2nd 7Mag I had bought a Ruger paddle boat stainless in 7Mag during Covid from an auction house now it has company.

I saw another rifle seemed like an incredible deal everything looked good until I got to this picture and just WTF who would do that to a rifle

Pic did not load here it is

Nice CZ 550.I hope it shoots well for you.As for the Ruger, looks like their last resort to get the rifle to groups well before sending it down the road and it still didn't group.Lol I wonder what kind of deal he got from Cabelas.

Nice!
And Yikes!!!

The 7mm Rem Mag is a very good cartridge! I had great results with mine.
It has performed so well since introduced in 1962, that even the newest version for those wishing to shoot the heavier, longer, sleeker bullets chose to design the new PRC cartridge to emulate the original 7 Magnums performance.
If forced to hunt with just one rifle for the rest of my days, I would be hard pressed to not pick the 7mm Rem Mag, as it will cover all game from small deer/antelope to bison with the proper bullets. It has the power needed for most of the largest game, is flat shooting, and has manageable recoil. And the ammunition is easy to find almost everywhere.
Best of luck in your adventures with the Big 7!
