Yes same outfitter/land owner. They acquired a 250,000 acre piece west of East London a couple years ago. I have not hunted that ground yet but it’s good for Buffaloe and fantastic for Kudu. Good Nyala also. The ranch I hunted twice, near Bedford has Buffalo but not as many. That bull taken by the man with a bloody nose was taken while I was there. We had bumped into him at about 30 yards a couple of days before he was shot.

That is what the jacket on the 175gr AccuBond should look like. They don’t retain enough weight for my liking. I do really like this new Swift bullet. If it takes off, and I think it will, it may force Nosler the redesign the AccuBond LR to retain more wight.

I find it interesting that people will complain about the cost of a bullet and it is the cheapest part of any hunt.
It would be different if it were just for plinking but we are talking about hunting and the bullet is the one thing that most determines the success or failure of the kill.

That's just the way they're designed. Most hold at least 50% weight retention. If you want more weight retention, try a regular AccuBond or Partition. They're usually good for 60-75% depending on specific weight or caliber. If you want even more, step up to Sciroccos, Interbonds, A-Frames, monos and more. I myself am becoming a big fan of the ABLR's but I have yet to shoot something really big with them.

@Divernhunter you make a great point. It's one of the absolute cheapest parts of a hunt and also the ONLY part of our gear that actually touches the animal before it's dead on the ground. I'm a bullet geek, so I don't need an excuse to buy new ones but the above thoughts certainly don't hurt!
