New To Me 30-06 Loads

56.5 to 57.5 in 06 with 165 gr bullet is a very well known and typically accurate load. Get in that range of charge if no pressure and try different seating depths. You ll find a winner if rifle is capable.

If you look at my pics of targets the 56.5grn load is not a bad grouping. The 57.0grn is not bad as well. Maybe I just never decided to try to run OAL set to see if either of those loads would tighten up for a group. Maybe it might be worth my time to try them. I just loaded a length from a factory load to have a length to start when testing what powder load would give me the best group first.

The Nosler tables does list the 57.5grn load of H4350 as it's most accurate load they tested. Maybe it's worth the play to gain that extra fps out of the 165 pill.

I'm now a bit unsure. The 57.0 gr load was a perfect group until I had the rear bag slip and the 3rd shot went high. The 57.5 gr load had the first shot high and was hard to eject. Will inspect the case for a reason the other 2 shots were great. Both tight groups. The 57.0 gr load is hitting exact where rifle has been sighted for my 180 gr Partition loads are. I'm leaning on the 57.0 gr load but thinking I should run another test to be sure? Anyone have any suggestions on what I posted of these so far from today's range time? Any input greatly appreciated.

What brand of brass are you using? Wondering if there was a mix lot to cause a hard to eject round a brass. How did the other 2 eject from the 57.5 gr load.

All of the brass was Remington. The others all ejected like butter. The primers all look perfect and the same. I'm a bit stumped. I will measure all cases with a caliper to see if any differences between them.
