Just found this forum. I've looked at Nosler bullets a bunch on the web but haven't been here. I reload for a couple of hunting rifles but my main rifle is a Ruger Hawkeye SS in 358 Winchester. I'm one of those that love this cartridge. I've had it about 12 years and killed several whitetails, Axis deer and a bunch of hogs. I like reading about different loads and experiences with the cartridge.

Welcome aboard. Nice rifle and cartridge. There are several guys here that have the 358 Winchester. I've been shooting the big brother, 35 Whelen since Remington introduced it in the 700 Classic in 1988.
Those 35 calibers are accurate and hit hard.

Welcome to the forum. You can find a lot of good information here. I just completed load development (at least for this year) on a BLR chambered in 358 Win. My post is probably just a few lines down.

Welcome to the best forum for firearms and reloading.
Lots of great people on this site with plenty of knowledge to share.

The 358 Win is a great cartridge that might not get as much attention as it deserves...but is one that I enjoy shooting and hunting with.

I have had a BLR in 358 for over 20 years and have done some reloading for the cartridge for that rifle...its favourite load (1" groups at 100 yards) is with the 220 gr Speer Hot Cor and 50.0 gr of W748 for 2209 fps out of the 20" barrel. The 225 gr Partition would provide 1.1" groups w/ 35.5 gr of Re-7 for 2160 fps out of that 20" barrel.
This rifle has been used to take game ranging from mule deer, moose, elk and grizzly over the years, and has been my main camp rifle, as well as my main back up rifle for thick brush work, guiding, horseback/atv hunting, and archery hunting, as it is light, handy, quick handling and reliable.

I also now have a custom LH Rem 700 with a 22" McGowan barrel that shoots the Winchester 200 gr Power Point factory ammo into groups just over 1/2" at 100 yards at 2540 fps., and the 200 gr SilverTip ammo into just under 0.9" at 2558 fps.
It will also shoot groups of 0.55-0.65" with the HSM 225 gr SGK ammo at 2408 fps.
It will produce groups of just under 1.3" at 100 yards with the Buffalo Bore 225 gr SGK ammo...while it might not meet my MOA preference for accuracy, at 2642 fps it does produce close to 600 extra ft. lbs of energy at the muzzle, that retains the same energy of over 2000 ft. lbs at 250 yards vs 200 yards for HSM ammo, and is still accurate enough for big game such as moose, elk, and bison at this distance.
I hope to take something with it this fall.

I haven't tried the 225 gr Partition in it as yet.
I have just loaded some test loads for the 225 gr SGK with W748 and CFE 223 to try, but haven't got back to the range to test them as yet. If these do not prove, I will try with TAC, IMR4320 and Varget. (this HSM ammo isn't being brought into Canada at the moment)

I also want to try the 225 gr AccuBond in this rifle, and will try loads with W748, IMR and H4895.

Appreciate the welcomes and look forward to the stories. I'm not a very good story teller but I will comment on things that peak my interest.

Blkram, very good info. I have some SGK that shoot .75, as well as Hornady RN that shoot as good. My powders I've used are 3031, 4064 and H4895. I've thought about trying RL7 and TAC but I've been pretty happy with the others. My rifle really started to shoot good once I replaced the black plastic stock with the H-S Precision. The trade off was the weight. Now i'm thinking of threading the barrel and getting a suppressor. My problem is I'm very cheap and dont like spending money.
