I went to Wal-Mart at about 0900 this morning to get some patch grass for my lawn, well, I meandered around the sporting goods section and saw three tan stocked WBY's in the case. I asked what calibers and they said 300 mag, 7mm mag and 270. Well, I figured the 300 mag was a Win Mag, so I looked at the 7mm Rem Mag. It looked really nice for a 390.00 rifle. It was even cheaper than the black plastic stocked ones. I put it back and went home and took care of the lawn....
Well, I went and picked up one of the tan stocked WBY's. Seems like it is a Sage edition or maybe some other version that isn't listed on the WBY site. It took me about twenty minutes to decide. I thought the 300 Mag was a Win Mag, turned out to be a 300 WBY MAG! I hemmed and hawwed for 20 minutes and still got the 7mm. I called my buddy and he promptly went and bought the 300 WBY. Lucky for me, cause I was going to go back tomorrow and get that one two. They were 390.00 and I walked out for 413.00 with tax and everything. They seem like really well built rifles and they are the only ones in that class that are guaranteed to shoot. I can't see how you could go wrong. They still have a 270WIN left. Scotty
