Nikon Black X1000 4-16 Ill MRAD

Picked one of these up from a buddy with a set of weaver tactical rings for the 240 WBY for $250...Wasnt the scope I was originally going to put on it, but I did some scope swapping and needed a little more magnification on the 240 as it's my coyote rifle, and at that price it was hard to say no. He bought it new last year for $600 plus $40 for the rings. I mounted/sighted it in for him on his 6.5CM and it had 40 rounds thru it was all. It tracked well out to 800 yards, the glass is pretty decent, so I said what the heck and threw a NF 20MOA rail under it. Little big for the rifle overall being 30mm tube/50mm obj, but it will work for now. I'm partial to Leupold, but I do have a nikon 6-18 buckmaster mil-dot on the Ruger varmint 223 that has been a great scope.

Nikon makes some great scopes. I have heard they are getting out of the optics business. I have 13 rifles with 6 Nikon scopes everything from a simple buck master 3-9 x40 up through a 6-18 *42 5 . Love them all. There were on sale at Europtic Black 6-25 FX1000’s for $488 and I was really tempted to pick it up for no other reason that is a great optic for the price.
