Got my first batch of Nosler brass recently, some .25-06 for my 700 CDL. Normally I size all my brass before loading it. This stuff is so purty though... Do I need to size it or do you guys recommend just loading it up?

Thanks, Guy

Guy,

I like to do a partial resize just to square up the necks but the Nosler brass I have used didn't even need it.

I've got a high quality Wilson neck sizing die I could run them into easily enough.

Not sure they need it though.

The Nosler brass I've used was taken from the box, primed, charged and the bullet seated. It has served me well.

Same here. Even most of the 2nds is good enough to prime and load.

Is it really worth the cost, over run of the mill brass? Sizing/ re-sizing is just part of the S.O.P..

I full length resize all my new brass , just to be sure it's going to fit . new brass is usually on the small side ,so full length resizing usually does nothing more than a touch here and there . Jim

I have some of their STW brass, its truly beautiful. It is the most accurate case for my rifle. I didn't prep the cases but weighed them. After finding little difference in weight, I quite wasting my time. !!

Same here I've only seen one neck that wasn't perfect. It's awesome stuff plus its already weight sorted.

Only you can be the judge of that. If you don't mind doing all of the prep work, then weight sorting the brass, and culling the cases that don't fit in the average, then regular run of the mill stuff is fine, but the Nosler stuff, for the most part comes ready to load and will usually net you better shot groups.. I still use alot of Winchester stuff, but if I can get 2nds, I will buy them. So far, I think I am running up close to 10 loads to one batch of cases for my 338 and haven't lost any.

Had some issues with the 264WM stuff, but if I had been paying a little closer attention it wouldn't have been as bad.. Even then, it still seems to last pretty long.

Yep; I just scored 50 for my boys' .243 Win from shootersproshop and did just that... hopin' to squeeze 'em off sometime this week topped w/ 95 gr VLDs, which are also a first.

Dang in that nice brass these (moly'd) VLDs are SEXY!!!!

Just pay attention to your lot numbers. I know some folks had some variation from different manufacturers. I just save the box for future reference. I got 50 for my 300 Win and absolutely love it! Best brass I've used and in that Legacy, it's doing good things for me. As pretty as it looked, I went ahead and sized it so I could maintain a consistent neck tension.

I do not size it are do anything to it I just load it and my groups speak for themselves.
