I have used the 250 grain 44 Partition handgun with great results on game. I am thinking of trying the 180 grain 357 out in my 350 remington mag. I know the nosler manual lists data for using the bullet. I would like to know what type of performance I can expect on game with this bullet at rifle velocities as well as what size of game would be sensible to use this on? Just looking at all my options for this caliber.

Honestly with the point blank range capability with the 225gr Partition in the 35 Rem Mag I wouldn't even think of loading the 180 PHG bullet. With such low bc and sd the effectual gain from the lighter bullet will be lost rather quickly once that bullet leaves the barrel. There are threads runnin on this board regarding the terminal performance of Partition HG in 35 Rem load

Mike,

If you would really like a feel of the 180 gr PT, try shooting it into 6-8 1 gal milk jugs filled with water. Water is harder than game so you will get a "feel" for what the bullet will do at rifle velocities. The guess is that the bullet will be found in #6. Try a 225 gr PT for comparison.
I think that the 225 gr PT would be a better choice for the 350 Rem Mag. I have used this bullet in my 35 Whelen for WT Deer and Blk Bear with excellent results. Always have an exit wound with little meat damage.
Only had a couple of blood trails to follow with WT Deer and they were very short and very heavy red.
