So any suggestions on which Nosler bullet would be good to use for load data for the 30 cal Nosler solid base bullet in 165 gr. Loading for .308.

I actually just picked up some of these recently as they were on sale for $19 per 50.
I was also just looking at loading data for the 165s from Nosler, Hornady and Hodgdons.
B.C. for this is .442
S.D. Is .248
This is all based on what I was looking for regarding the use of Varget powder which is what I have for my 308 on hand.

Hornady data was min. 32.6 grains, and max. 44 grains. I went to search there because I felt that maybe their interlock was a similar bullet.
Hodgdon’s data was C.O.A.L. 2.750. Min. 42 grains, and max. 46 grains (compressed 104%)
Nosler data was C.O.A.L. 2.810/2.770 for the Partition. Min. 42 grains, Most accurate was 44 grains, and max. 46 grains (compressed 103%)
Because of the big difference between Hornady and the other two I am not using their data. Hodgdon’s and Nosler are basically the same.

In regards to which bullet, I went with the weight and not specific bullet. As you can see they all are basically the same except the Partion has a little difference in C.O.A.L.
Hope this helps you

Im working on a load for my 308 with the 165 gr Nosler Solid Base now. I've been trying several powder and bullet combo's. Most have shot well but a couple have shot really well. There's no reason you cannot get 2700 up to near 2800 fps with the 165, of course that will depend on the length of barrel and powder choice.

Some may disagree but in my opinion, and it's worth exactly what you paid for it, the 165 gr bullet is as close to hunting perfection as you can get in the 308. There are many good powders as well. I'm using IMR-4895 and Varget. Both are good and give good velocity!

These loads are SAFE in my rifle. Use at your own risk! Always start at lower charge weights and use a chronograph to monitor your velocity progress. High pressure signs without a chrono usually don't show up until you've exceeded them quite a bit. I guess Im trying to say, don't try to get unreasonable performance out of your rifle. If you do, bad things will happen! You can't get 600 HP out of a 300 straight six engine!

45 grs of IMR-4895, 165 gr Nosler Solid Base, it's the very upper end of SAFE in MY RIFLE with the 165
46 grs of Varget, Either 165 gr Sierra Gameking, not the tipped GK, or 165 gr Nosler Solid Base

Here's a few pics of loads that work in my rifle. There are some 150 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip loads mixed in. There are a couple "excuse me" shots" in a pic or two that opened the group up just a bit. Some days of shooting are better than others. LOL

Hmmm I actually have some Hornady 165 gr interlocks for comparison. Hornady always seems to be more conservative on their load data. I will look at them and Hodgens data and work something up. Nosler didn't have any data for H4895 but did have IMR 4895, I find the data is much different between the the two powders by maybe a half grain or so. Hornadys 165 gr Interlock shot pretty good on top of H4895 but not worth a crap on top of CFE 223. Let me know what you come up with and I will do the same. I will say this the Nosler Solid Base were very consistent on weight. Looking forward to trying them out .

Nice, that will hunt for sure. Just curious what's your barrel length?
I will work up some this week hopefully. I have H4895, I will probably try some Tac as well sitting on a good bit of that. Let y'all know what I come up with .
