Why does it cost so much compared to all their other brass? $43 for 25 pieces seems pretty dang steep, even for firsts. Heck even the 340 Weatherby brass is less on the shooters proshop page than the STW brass. I understand that Nosler brass is a bit more spendy to start with, (I really love my 243 Nosler brass), but it just seems that the STW brass is very much more so.

Any thoughts?

Economies of scale. I imagine Nosler sells just about as much STW as .300 H&H, which probably ain't much.

That doesn't explain the cost of 300 WSM and 270 WSM brass, however. They are marketed in packages of 25 rather than 50 and the price doesn't reflect other brass for those cartridges.

Sometimes a phone call to Shooters Pro Shop will help. I have had some issues about prices in the past and they found out it was a mistake in price and they fixed it.

300 H&H and stw are the same brass with different neck and shoulder. formed stw brass from H&H for years

I have several factory red and green Remington boxes that hold what now is known as .300 H&H brass. Except the boxes and the unprimed cases inside are marked "R-P .300 Magnum", don't know how old they are. I don't think I could bring myself to reform them into any other case design.

Didn't mean to hog this post.

Excuse me, box colors are as now noted. I went and looked at them

If you want to sell a box or two of those, let me know (via PM).

Yep, knew that. Same with 8mm RM; STA; .300, .340 and .375 Weatherbys...

I have Remington STW, Remington 8mm, and Nosler STW. With equal loadings the Nosler is the most accurate in my rifle. I just ordered another box of the Nosler. My plan is to use the others for general shooting, (of which of course) I do very little with this caliber and minimize the use of the Nosler Cases. I did find however that their loaded ammo is a bargin in comparison to the unprimed brass, but my picky rifle also does not ilke them that well.

Look guys, I know the Nosler Custom brass cost but some brass is more expensive than Nosler and for what you get they are highly competitive indeed. I have been loading for a lot of years tried every brass you can think of and even did so with any and every brass offered for my 7mm-08 TGR much less all the other rifles and cartridges I have loaded for and posted on this forum. The tightest groups over a number of different bullets for a given cartridge and Nosler brass holds my group records. I wish I had Nosler Custom brass for my 358Win instead of that inconsistent sloppy Winchester brass I have to cull and work with plus constantly having to turn my necks. I would give any amount for some Nosler Custom brass for my 358Win which is the only cartridge of late that I have and worked with that I can't get Nosler brass for.

I am now of the opinion that there is not a better brass out of the box for the reloader and that includes (which some might get upset) Lapua brass, which I have for a few of my cartridges paid out the nose for and it did not out perform Nosler Custom brass in accuracy for my hunting rifles. Consistency in Nosler coustom brass is awesome for the money spent. What I like about it is that group after group the brass shoots consistently and I get no surprises. Now they might have had some issue when starting up and getting their feet on the ground when it came to getting their brass right and manufactured to their specs, but they have it right now. I will pay the price to get the consistency, which is less than some others in most cartridges they make brass for and I love the stuff.

Bullet, I completely agree with everything you just said. I understand why it cost more also. I just wanted to get an idea of why the stw brass was so much more than other nosler brass.

Thanks.

I knew what you were asking, I just felt a need to express my delight over the quality of Nosler brass because of the results I get when using it.

than your experience with nosler brass is different from mine, since this is noslers site not saying any more.

Go a head and say what you experienced. When they first put out 30-06 brass I came down on it hard because I was disappointed. There have been some changes, and I am sure there will be more, but don't hold back. Nothing gets better with out growing pains.
