Not 'New' news, - not too 'Old' either....but Good News!

ET, so when are you going to pick a Rigby up to let us know if the QC changed?

I known this for some time now for the fact I have through a German connection sold Rigby/Blaser a cased .303 Mauser Takedown rifle, where I was told that Blaser/Mauser in Isny, Germany had bought the name(and interlectual rights).
I can only hope things will go well for them. I also knew the former Rigby & Co(now late Mark Neal) who tried to boost new life in the traditional way the California "Rigby" couldn´t. It all ended up in court with a lawyer fight. Mark died after a lung cancer two years ago and an another US company took over..and now Isny.

I wish Scotty! :) - We shall have to wait a while longer I think for the latest 'press reviews' to see how they get on.

Elmer, that is great news for Rigby. They deserve better then the crooked deal which they have been given in the States with the fraud, et al.

Making Mauser pattern actions and full bespoken English hunting rifles for Isny is their history and destiny. I am truly glad to hear that Rigby will return to their former glory or at least most of it. I look forward to seeing their English Mauser rifles again in the marketplace.

It certainly does sound promising guys. Not that I'd be able to afford a proper English hand engraved rifle, with the truly tried & tested Mauser action. But for those that can, the future sounds excellent.

I certainly agree. 'Twould be the epitome of the shooting sports.

Despite having a couple of custom rifles, I am not the bespoken kind of guy. That is my sister's department since she lives in Jolly Old. I am just glad to see some things back in the natural order of the way things were in my youth.

Yup! - I can certainly identify with that thought. Cheers, ET
