Sep 24, 2006 #1 M Mark Beginner Sep 10, 2006 72 0 I loaded the .45 Sierra Match 185 grain bullet to OAL length of 1.165" and manuals say to seat to OAL of 1.190 to 2.220. I seated just short of tapered area of bullet. Bullet looks short. Any advice?

Sep 27, 2006 #2 Z zupspoon Beginner Sep 27, 2006 17 1 Yeah...don't do it. Pistol cases have much less internal volume than rifle cases and you can increase pressure drastically by deep seating bullets. Not to mention the increased jump to the rifling probably won't help accuracy.
