Ooh, pick me! Pick me! SS M70 .375

Kurt,

That has Scotty written all over it.

Now, isn't that pretty! That 375 H&H would be a fine rifle to have.

9 pounds, and a 25" barrel, that's a man-sized rifle right there.

I like it!

Wow, I went to bed last night feeling pretty good about myself! Now you guys throw that at me! Man, what is a guy to do!

Ah, Grasshopper, there is no rest for the  ... uh, you'll have to finish that quote.

I guess not! Man, ask and you shall receive! I just posted how I would snag a stainless M70, and voila, there it is... It is almost mythical!

One of God's chosen cartridges.

Fixed it. Right David?

Yes you did my friend!  I sure feel sorry for that poor Scotty the way Winchester is throwing these things out at him. Scotty are you pulling your hair out yet?? :p

Hey, Scotty ain't the only one. It's a good thing I keep my hair uber-short... I can't get ahold of it to pull it out.

So far:
Bob
.264
JO'C .270 (maybe)
EW 7 WSM
Alaskan .338
Alaskan SS .375
And it seems like Big Red adds something new and cool every day!

Boy Kurt you are sick! Man if you two ever got together in a Cabela's with unlimited credit it would be a tornado!

There would be nothing left plain and simple.

Nah, man. I don't bleed green. I like Remmies, and you can generally get them pretty cheap, but I like a lot of different rifles. Sakos, Howas (at least the actions, but I don't like the Hogue or Knoxx stocks they seem to be using almost exclusively) and Weatherby Vanguards, Mausers, ARs, M14s, HK91/G3s, 1894s, 1886s, 1895s, Sharps. But I'm really starting to dig M70s more and more. I'm even starting to think about a push feed or two.

I did download a 2012 Remington catalog. They brought back the M7 Predator and the Mountain Rifle. I kinda like both of them. But it looks like Remington has given up on the .280... only available in the new Mountain Rifle... dropped that chambering in the XCR II. Bummer.

That 280 Mountain Rifle is a very nice rifle. I could have had a very nice one about 12 years ago and let my cousin steal it! It was a shooter from the get go... Ah well, I am sure there will be a Featherweight 280 before too long should I ever really want a 280..

Hold on, Scotty. Winchester may bring back a 280 and introduce a 35 Whelen. If so, it will be an answer to the dreams of many a rifleman.
