I never do this. most of the time

a buddy was loading some bullets to sight in his gun. I personally checked all his loads and seated the bullets my self. What I didn't do is ask him about the brass!

boom head separates and damb near wields to the barrel. lucky he didn't loose an eye.
He looks at me and says, might be time for some new brass.

The young man who I hunted with in Wyoming last year did not have dies and only a limited amount of cases for his 300 WM. I did all of his load development for his new rifle, and ran several rounds downrange, but he is one of a very few. I usually don't help or load for others.

I have loaded pistol ammo for others but only rifle ammo for my son inlaw.
I make it a practice of having the rifle or pistol on hand and check the ammo in them before turning them loose and also inspect the brass prior to loading it. If any brass is questionable I pitch it. Most of the time I have them load their own ammo while I watch them closely so everything is done right and always loaded on my single stage press even if they growl about how long it takes. Teaches them to do it right.

I reload rifle ammo for a couple of close friends... There are rules though, its up to me and me alone what goes into ammo I make...if I don't like a component, I won't use it...and when I say its time for new brass, its time for new brass, no questions asked... No more ammo until they do.

I load it, they just shoot it.... I always know how many loads the brass has on it and what those loads were.
