I PUT A 3-12x50 SCHMIDT and BENDER 30mm dia. on a 700 REM XCR using LEUPOLD DUAL DOVETAIL bases and rings. I have lots of adjustment @ 100 yards for windage but I've run out of elevation adjustment on the scope. How may I correct this?

First of all make sure both rings are of identical height. Never had any problems with Leupold rings, bases etc.

Double check that you have the correct bases for the rifle.
May also want to check that you do not have long range bases which would give you the adjustment at long range. Also, could they be on backwards?
Just trying to eleminate a few possibilities.

You can't dial in any more up elevation? Or can't dial any farther down?

If it's up - the fix is simple - go to a one-piece Leupold STD "long-range" base which has some elevation built in. Or... If you don't mind spending a bit more money go with the slanted bases avail from Seekins Precision or Badger Ordnance. Both are outstanding bases and will give you quite a bit of elevation built right into the mount.

I've also shimmed the rear of a Leupold one-piece STD base to get a rifle to zero properly. That worked fine. Don't think it would be a good idea with a two piece scope base.
